Subfloor Ventilation prices in Albury-Wodonga

This page sets no price: no government source states what subfloor ventilation costs, and a figure from a sales page would be the seller's number, not yours. It shows what a quote should settle and the rules that can attach to the space under a house, listed separately for NSW and Victoria, each linked to its source.

Albury-Wodonga subfloor costs and rules check

What the Australian Building Codes Board, NSW Health, Albury City Council, the Victorian Government's Better Health Channel and the City of Wodonga say that can apply to the space under a house in Albury (New South Wales) or Wodonga (Victoria), each with the page it comes from and the date it was read. The two States are listed separately because their sources differ: NSW is on NCC 2022 and Victoria on NCC 2025.

What changes a quote

Start with the space itself: how much of the floor can be reached, and how much of the wall length needs openings, since the code sets openings per metre of wall. Then the ground: damp or flooding changes what the code asks for, as the rules check below shows. A house already showing mould or a musty floor adds a question about where the moisture comes from before any vent is added.

What a quote should settle

Ask which side of the Murray the provider has treated the house as being on, which climatic zone they used for the vents and why, and what the quote says if the ground turns out to be wetter than expected. Ask for the work in writing before it starts. The rules check below lists each line we read with its source and read date.
